The artist and versatile songwriter Zana Messia’s musical journey is a fascinating yet tumultuous story about triumph of creativity and music over incredible obstacles.
Zana escaped the horrors of war at an early age, fleeing from her native country Bosnia and Herzegovina and becoming a refugee in Sweden.
Her music has since then been recorded in 6 languages, featured in film and TV, released by artists from the US, New Zealand, China, Sweden and Eastern Europe.
Zana’s albums and shows received stellar reviews.
She was shortlisted for an Oscar for Best Original Song and featured on the 2019 compilation Got Soul! Vol. 4 – Kings & Queens Of Soul!
Zana’s latest single ”No Deal Stephnsance Remix” was released March 22.
