Mathew is a medical student who has always had a passion for music. A learner by ear and touch, not by theory, Mathew has a special relationship with music.
As someone who characterizes his soul as “wistful”, “romantic”, and “dreamy”, Mathew became inspired by artists such as Yann Tiersen, Ludovico Einaudi, and Ennio Morricone. In 2016, Mathew moved to Italy and began to experience his own soul-filling adventures and associated melodies in his head with his experiences. He is thrilled about his first orchestral release “Adventures of Solitude” which Mathew says, “completely contains the emotions and character of my soul”. His first album entitled “Reverie” opens with this piece and is planned for release in the fall.
Separate from his instrumental work, Mathew has written a couple of songs with lyrics. His released Italian song “La prima volta” recounts an experience he had in Siena, Italy years ago.
Mathew’s songs are deeply personal, reflecting his own experiences and emotions. He hopes that his music resonates with other dreamers and romantics like himself and moves them in the same way it moves him.
