WLHM and Abel Djassi Present “Echo Nexus” — A Tribal-Techno Odyssey

Australian artist WLHM and Abel Djassi (aka Natalino Nunes) have joined creative forces to release Echo Nexus, a compelling fusion of deep techno and tribal energy. The track is available starting March 13 via Siblings Audio.

Echo Nexus explores hypnotic rhythms and textured organic layers, delivering an immersive experience built for the dancefloor. Driven by pulsating percussion and evolving atmospheres, the track moves with trance-inducing fluidity—grounded by deep basslines and accented with tribal drums, hand claps, and wood textures. The result is a raw yet refined sonic journey that connects body and mind.

The track is rooted in a rich tapestry of cultural influences. WLHM draws inspiration from Latin America, while Abel Djassi brings in elements from his Cape Verdean heritage. This rhythmic convergence creates a distinctive sound that sits confidently within a contemporary electronic music framework.

Crafted through an intuitive, rhythm-first production process, the artists made use of analog drum machines like the Elektron Analog Rytm and Roland TR-8S, along with organic percussive layers. The Moog Sub 37 provides warmth and depth to the bassline, while the ASM Hydrasynth adds space and texture. “We wanted to create something that awakens the primal instinct to move and dance,” explains WLHM, “merging organic percussion with a hypnotic, pulsating groove.”

The collaboration was a natural evolution of a long-standing friendship and mutual creative respect. As the founder of Siblings Audio, Abel Djassi provided the ideal platform to release the track, aligning with his label’s vision of raw, deep, and ritualistic techno.

WLHM (Billy Aldea-Martinez) is an Australian artist with strong roots in Brazil’s electronic music scene. He’s the co-founder of Ipanema Records and Código56 Records, and the creative mind behind event brands like Copacabana Beach Club and Rio Underground.
