Mathias Buckinx, Belgian musician since many years, born in Brussels in 1977, has recently decided to try out some ideas in the world of EDM. Having been a long time fan of Artists like DeadMau5, Skrillex, Avicii and Martin Garrix, he wanted to give progressive house a try. Setting aside his guitars, piano and regular traditional musical instruments, he explored the realms of sampling, beat programming, synths and LFO’s.
Northgroove is a three part experiment. X1V1, SUN and the newly released NITE feature amazing dance tracks with a vibe that will make you want to dance the night away. Besides Northgroove, Mathias is the singer/songwriter Eastwood Lane, with which he released the album The Days That Never Came earlier this year. He’s also the singer of the French chanson band Juicebox and regularly sings for orchestra’s and musicals.
