As a singer, rapper, songwriter, published poet, and producer, DScales continues to develop his skills daily and strives to be a valuable asset to the Hip Hop and R&B community. His artistic abilities began to shine in his hometown church as a lead vocalist, percussionist, and pianist.
His sound as a vocalist contains a mixture of melodic verses, a hint of chopper-styled phrases, a sprinkle of metaphors, and a dash of r&b melodies which showcase not only his lyrical skills, but also his expansive vocal range. DScales has performed across the southeast and was selected as 1 of 30 finalists for BET’s “106 and Park: Wild Out Wednesday” in New York.
Although he did not make the final cut, the experience fueled his desire to learn more about the music industry and pushed him to become a better artist. He independently produced & released several projects. He continues to work with different artists, assisting with their development, offering guidance, and having motivational conversations.
